GP Chronic Condition Management Plan (CCMP)
Your GP can discuss Medicare rebate options and provide the necessary referral.
If your child has a chronic or complex condition, your GP may prepare a Chronic Condition Management Plan (formerly known as EPC plan)
This plan can provide access to up to 5 speech pathology sessions per calendar year
A valid referral from your GP is required prior to your appointment
Please note that there may be a gap fee, depending on the Medicare rebate amount
Medicare

Children and young people under 25 with eligible conditions may access extra Medicare-rebated speech pathology sessions through M10 items

Provides additional assessment and therapy sessions each year on top of CCMP rebates
Requires a GP or specialist referral (paediatrician/psychiatrist) confirming M10 eligibility
Private
Private Health Insurance
If you have extras cover that includes speech pathology, you may be eligible to claim a rebate through your private health fund
Rebates and annual limits vary depending on your level of cover
We can provide an itemised receipt for you to submit to your health fund
We recommend contacting your insurer directly to confirm your individual entitlements
NDIS
NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme)
Families who are participants of the NDIS can use their funding for speech pathology services if therapy goals align with their plan.
We accept:
Self-managed plans – families pay invoices directly and claim through the NDIS portal
Plan-managed plans – we invoice your plan manager directly for payment
If you are unsure whether speech pathology is covered in your child's plan, we are happy to discuss this with you.
