Our Story

Explore Speech Pathology has grown from a well‑established family practice that has supported Adelaide children and families for decades. Founded by speech pathologist Sally Schulze and now led by her daughter, Rebecca Humpich, the practice continues to evolve while staying true to its values and purpose. Our approach is child‑led and exploratory, shaped by the real‑life environments where kids learn: in the classroom, at home, and in the moments that matter most.

Approach

Our evidence-based, neurodiversity-affirming approach

We use evidence-based and neurodiversity-affirming approaches, tailoring therapy to each child’s strengths, learning and communication needs. We meet children where they are, prioritising connection, confidence, and meaningful progress.

Children learn in wonderfully different ways, and that’s what makes this work so special. We explore how your child learns best, celebrate their strengths and gently support them through the tricky bits. From developing speech sounds to following instructions and participating in classroom activities, we choose approaches that feel natural and encouraging for your child.

Growth

How therapy supports real‑world growth

While we focus on the mechanics of speech and literacy, the real-world impact is what matters most. Our goal is to ensure your child doesn’t just “improve,” but truly thrives. In school, at home, and throughout their lifelong learning journey.

Socially

Supporting them to navigate the playground, understand social cues, and build genuine friendships.

Academically

Building the confidence to participate in class and strengthening the language and literacy skills that underpin learning across all areas.

At Home and in the Community

Reducing the frustration that comes when a child can’t get their message across, helping families feel more connected and making communication feel easier in everyday life.
